Yokosuka Housing Self-Help Center

The Housing Self-Help Centers offer “do-it-yourself” tools and supplies for families residing in Yokosuka, Ikego, and Negishi Housing.

Loaner tools may be checked out for up to three calendar days.

Lawn care equipment should be returned the next working day.

Lawn Mower Shed

For your convenience lawnmower sheds are located throughout Yokosuka, Ikego and Negishi Housing Areas. Please use the shed closest to your residence. Each shed contains several lawn mowers, weed-eaters, rakes, goggles, earplugs, and extension cords. Lawn maintenance items may be used between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. and should be returned to the shed each day after cleaning. The Housing Self-help personnel routinely check all equipment. We appreciate the support and assistance you provide by cleaning the equipment after each use and reporting items in need of repair. For further information, please contact your local Self Help Center listed below.
