Does the Negishi gym have child care/where can I find out more info on what the gym has to offer?

I will get some info for you about your questions.

Sorry it took me a few days to respond.  I spoke with the Negishi Gym for you.

This was information he relayed that should help you out:

- The gym is not as large as you may think.  Its 1 big large room, which has 4 Treadmills, and 3 Ellipticals, Free Weights, and a Cardio Room.  There is a soft play area for children, but its your reponsibility to watch your own children.

Newborns - 5 years old are allowed but you must watch them.
6 years old - 10 years old are NOT ALLOWED IN THE GYM - NOT AT ALL!
10 years old - 15 years old are allowed in the gym, unsupervised, but must receive an orientation brief given on Yokosuka Naval base, which they will receive guidance how to operate the equipment and safety lessons.

For your original question if they had daycare, the answer is "No" they dont.
The play area is a small area with a few toys for kids, while you work out, but its up to you to watch your own children.

About the gym. The room with the ellipticals is small, and the 'play area' is tiny! There is only one elliptical(arms and legs) so if it's being used you will have to wait. There are a few treadmills. There's also a basketball court with balls. It's ok, but I would recommend the Purdy gym on main base. Plenty of machines to go around plus an indoor pool.
