Enoshima Aquarium is indoors, the jelly fish area kept my friend's 4 year old daughter entertained.

Stay home & make cookies from scratch! Let your kid crack eggs (you'll have to pick out the eggshells), mix in the chocolate chips, and lick the bowl. They love it and you can inspire a love of cooking which will reward them the rest of their life.

Other great recipes to make with kids include pancakes, fajitas/quesadillas, sandwich wraps with tortilla, turkey chili and smoothies. It's a great parent/child activity. :-)

Kid O Kid in Yokohama is an indoor playspace. I haven't been yet but have heard great things about this place from other moms. I should say that I haven't been inside as I tried to go during Sullivans spring break. But just my luck they were closed for renovations. It was an easy train ride, about 40 min from Yokosuka Chuo to the Minatomirai stop. I'm calling that trip my test run. Because of the pricing, definitely recommend going for a weekday visit. If you are up for driving, then if you spend 2500 yen at the play space you get 500 yen off parking with makes it 700 yen to park in the building for the whole day. This I learned from another mom who drove there so can't help with directions. But its in the Leaf Minatomirai bldg.

An Pan Man Museum is also a close walk from there too.

On the day we went, it was beautiful. So we switched gears and it was an easy walk to Cosmo World and Landmark tower. Build a Bear, Krispy Kreme...there is just a lot to enjoy in that area. So rainy or sunny a great day trip!

On the first floor of Daiei there is a play space as well. Not huge, but can't beat the location.

Behind the Hamagin Space Center is a free indoor play space. The building is an imported log cabin with a lot of activities on the inside including some fun climbing things and a cool slide. You can park in the space center parking lot. If your back is turned to the Space center it is on the right hand side of the Park behind the space center.
