Craving some Sunday brunch: French toast, pancakes, fried apples, bacon, eggs, home fries and a cup of coffee. Boy I wish I was at Cracker Barrel now. Where in Yokosuka can we get good breakfast food?

Mmmmm...Cracker Barrel...ALWAYS hit them up when in the states...pecan pancakes ( extra pecans) and bacon! If you're looking for a brunch, officer's club @ Yokosuka is probably the only thing nearby. OR New Sanno is the BOMB!

Chiefs club puts on a good all ranks Sunday brunch. It's my go to place when I need a good American style breakfast.

I wish my kitchen made such great food! =) Is O Club open to all hands? I just might head to CPO Club later. Thanks for the info.

World Junction, in the Honch, but it's not fancy. They do some basics, pancakes, waffles, omelets, bacon etc. Served all day.

Oh and there is a place I have heard great things about up in Harajuku- Eggs and things. But it is a bit of a trek just for breakfast

O'Club is open to all hands and frankly, I like their Sunday brunch. I will agree that New Sanno's is great too, but save the money of the train and just go to ours here. Unless of course you want to take a day trip and visit Tokyo. That would be fun too

Just goes to show you.. NOBODY can do a good ol' decadent Sunday breakfast like Americans. I've traveled the globe, eaten many strange & wonderful things, but never found anyone who can do the whole omelet/waffle/pancake/sausage/OJ & bottomless coffee pot like USofA. Half the time in Japan, when they advertise American Breakfast, it's a nasty boiled quail egg, seaweed, fish soup and a rice ball. I think the egg makes it "American" in their eyes.

I agree with ThaiGuy. Reading this thread made my mouth water. I miss Cracker Barrel and IHop. I make great eggs/omelets, but there are some things I just can't replicate in my kitchen, which is probably a good thing. For example, the stuffed french toast at IHop (yummo). Shouldn't eat those too often anyway.

I agree with that. I used to love going there. They would always have a fireplace going, and it just made it feel so cozy.

OR New Sanno is the BOMB!
I didnt really prefer their buffet. You mean the Sunday one right?

I'd be happy if they branched and brought a waffle house in Japan. I actually looked in to the franchise option of bringing them here about 5 months ago.

There is a cafe on one of the side rows off Blue street I see all the time with waffles, pancakes, eggs, bacon etc on their sign. At lunch they do soups, salads, and sandwiches. I think its the side road where TGIFridays is but on the right hand side. I thought about going there a few times. But its not further than that street, so it might be the one before.

I didn't make it anywhere for brunch thanks to my rugrats not willing to cooperate.  Bacon and eggs will have to do this Sunday.  Maybe next time.

I would have to agree with Thaiguy, haha. Has anyone been to Denny's in Japan? It's a joke, who eats salad for breakfast? Don't get me wrong , Japanese does almost everything better than everyone else, they even make a better hamburgers (tsunami hamburger joint in the Honch) but they can't seem to get breakfast correct. my wife is Japanese and she doesn't understand it either. she tells me that pancakes and waffles are snacks in Japan, not full meals, haha. Maybe that's why I'm so fat...hmmmm.

I went to the Yokosuka Denny's -- once -- like 20 years ago. After finishing my (very tiny) cup of coffee, I nearly had to climb up on the table & do a Mexican hat dance to get enough attention to refill my coffee cup. Obviously, they thought I was insane -- not because of the hat dance, but for actually wanting a 2nd cup of coffee. I realized even back then that I was never gonna find anything like a decadent American breakfast in Japan.

Oh, and they charged me for the 2nd cup. o_O We ain't in Kansas anymore.

There are no Dennys where I live, but many chains do now have drink bars with free refills. Japan has come a long way in 20 years. But they still don't know how to make a "real" omelet. :-)

I went to the cpo club today for the brunch, I was very dissapointed as there were no eggs benedict, (my favorite breakfast item) and my omelet was oh so runny when i cut into it, as I had requested tomatoes in my omelet and I as I watched the chief cook I saw he added the tomatoes and veggies in first and cooked them, (so that made it all very watery), the biscuits and gravy looked like they were made with water and cornstarch, the highlight was the pasta guy, he made me some fantastic pasta :o)

We eat bruch at the O'Club a couple times a month. They have had eggs benedict every time we've gone, and have a great omlet station. I think the O'Club is a little less expensive than the CPO club for their Sun. brunch also.

The New Otani in Tokyo used to have an awesome Sunday brunch. It wasn't cheap so arrive early and hungry if you go.

This brings me back to wishing the Chili's was still the Seaside Cafe.

I would not recommend Denny's in Japan for that menu requirement.
