Has anyone been to the park in Taura to see the plum blossoms? If so, is it a pretty easy walk? And it is easy to figure out which way to go once you get out of the station? I want to take my daughter, but don't want to have a hard time finding it once we are down there. Thanks!

I went to the park today and the plum blossoms are not in bloom yet. I have attached a map to that outlines how to get there from JR Taura station it is quite easy to follow, after you walk through the tunnel cross the pedestrian bridge and follow the pink flags and you will get there no problem. I spoke with the park workers and they said that the blossoms will not bloom until about  2-2 1/2 weeks. It is a great park for kids they have a nice playground all the way to the top and great views of Yokohama, Yokosuka and Tokyo. I will keep an eye out on the state of the trees I live pretty close and let you know when they are blooming.

Thank you so much for letting me know! I'm glad I didn't make the trip if they aren't in bloom yet! Thank you for the directions too. I am going to check it out when they bloom, good to know I have a sense of where I am heading.

The plum blossoms in Japan are supposed to bloom from around mid Feb until early March. The narcissus were in bloom today and very nice. @ chloesmom there are alot of stairs to climb but there are some stone stools to rest if need be also bring your luch there are plenty of areas to have a little picnic.

Here are just a few pics. I took many pictures.
After you upload the photos, you have to click the INSERT IMAGE button, which allows you to specify where you want to position them, before they all just get posted.

    So first you upload them.

Then you move your mouse, and click the position. Then just go to the INSERT IMAGE, and it will upload in that spot. Simple..

Edit  ---  I saw you had posted them, so I went in and just added them to your post.  I just clicked the INSERT IMAGE, and they went.

    Great looking pictures!
