I am giving some of my experiences to others, so that each of you may try out new things around Japan!  I was told I don't participate in the forum near as much as I should, so Here I am!!!

    NEED DIRECTIONS: Just ASK!

Furniture:  Nitori is a wonderful and decently priced place that has a lot of nice items.  Ikea is really big and hectic, but if you have the nerve to fight the crowd then they have good items as well.  Homes is my favorite.  It's close to base and my house so it's mostly convenient.  They have everything from furniture, hardware, pets, house hold goods, and all holiday decor.  I have to walk through the entire store every time I enter that place just to see what new things they have.

Restaurants: (A lot of places I have no idea how to spell, but I can try!!) Mikes is a must.  They have great mexican food, and as always Margaritas!  Straight out the front main gate...cross the cross walk and walk toward daiei mall.  It is on your left up the stairs.  You can't miss it! Yakaniku- the one I go to is closer to my house near Uraga, but there is also one on blue street.  I highly recommend trying it!  It's delicious.  TGI Fridays on Blue street.  I know its American, but it is still really nice to know where the American places are when you miss home a bit!  Pepper Lunch...It is really nice as well.  I have others, but way too many to write.  If you have others, please feel free to add to my list!

Entertainment:  Obviously people go to the Honch...I liked to steer clear of drunkin fools.  But their is a bar called AZUL if you like to go to a low key place and have a nice atmosphere.  It is right in the middle of everything, so super easy to find.  Thats all I really have on this one...Don't do the club scene a whole lot!

FUN:  Sea Paradise is close and great for families with or without children.  Its about a 20 minute drive from base on a good day with not a lot of traffic.  45 max with heavy traffic.  They have an aquarium, roller coasters, smaller rides, etc.  (IF YOUR INTO CARS)  Super Autobacs is also very close to Sea Paradise...It is about 10 from there.  Really easy to find...Or Motorcycles, you can visit NAPS.  Again right down the street.
Right next to homes is a building called SWING! It has Ping Pong tables, batting cages, and pitching cages.  It is a lot of fun and reasonably priced.  I paid 700Yen for 30 minutes on a ping ping table, and 300Yen for 21 balls in the batting cage. (so not too bad)

For Nails, Hair, and massages, I recommend Sakura directly out the front gate.  I get everything done here!  The people are great, and they do a fantastic job here!  It is a little pricey on some things, but it is excellent work! (THE ONLY PEOPLE I TRUST TO COLOR MY HAIR) And the massages are divine here!  45 minutes for 3000 Yen.  Best 45 minutes of my life.  I highly recommend tying it

I can't think of anything else right now, but if I do I'll post again!!

I do KNOW that there is a Go-kart place in Japan. I tried finding one on google, and came across a youtube video of one. However I couldn't figure out where it was!

Kid's go-carts or fast racing go-carts?  I know there is a go-cart race track near Camp Fuji.

Google "Big Bang". That is the indoor Go-Kart place. There is one right outside of Atsugi. I raced shifter karts at fuji speedway about 6 years ago. It is an expensive hobby, but lots of fun.

If you are getting out in Japan, you have to go to Kyoto. You really haven't seen Japan until you do.
