We are arriving in Yokosuka the end of this month and are looking for a pet sitter while we wait for housing.  We have one dog.  She is a German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix.  She is really friendly and great with kids.  We are looking for someone who lives in Yokosuka so we can visit her while we are staying at the Navy Lodge.  If anyone is available or know of anyone who is that would be really helpful.  Thanks! 

Im sure you will get some volunteer after me, if not let me know I can do it, just one downside I live in negishi and I have a male husky too!!! Have you tried the boarding place on base???

E-mail PAWS shelter (usskittytalk.yokosuka@gmail.com). We have foster families that will "foster" dogs while families get settled in housing. I'm not sure the kennel on base is open again or not. It was closed down due to bad conditions for the pets. I know I wouldn't have wanted my pet there and we have fostered pets for that reason - to help them avoid being at the kennel. Can't take your dog b/c I live in a tower and only townhouses can have dogs and I live in Ikego ...

Thank you!  I wouldn't mind having her stay with you.  I am just not sure about transportation for her to get there.  I am sure she would love your dog.  She loves to have other dogs to play with!  And thank you Donna!  I am going to contact the kennel and the PAWS place.  If that doesn't work out do you have any ideas about transportation for her to get to our place?

Carissa, I'm so sorry I haven't checked this website for a while, I'm sure u already arrived let me know if I can still help you with anything, private message me.

I did find someone to watch our dog. They have been great and really helpful. We are actually moving in next week sometime! Once we are settled we would be happy to watch other dogs if anyone is in the same situation.
