That's a loaded question what does BEST mean to you?

Cheapest? Hard Off sores. The down side is it's all used and in Japanese. If you want English to be the primary language you need be careful what you buy on the economy I know someone that has a new computer using Windows 7 and it's all in Japanese, I'm sure there's a way to get it in English but so far we haven't figured it out. All of the manuals are in Japanese too.

So to eliminate that problem, the Exchanges offer electronics at a fair price. Many people order online from the states too. Some companies won't ship certain electronics to Japan such as....... Amazon won't ship GPS's to Japan I don't know if they ship computers or not. The Exchange where I am at offers MS and Apple products and a decent amount of TV's too. Even though they make just about all of them over here or really close to here, getting them in English and English only seems difficult.

If you aren't satisfied with the NEX price you should try online. Walmart got decent prices with all sorts of electronics and so as best buy. There are lots of us based stores that has websites where you can purchase online and they do shipping on military addresses. But if your talking about Japanese stores PC depot is a big store for electronics and so as yamada. But like yokota said they are in Japanese. If its tablets you can definitely change the language and so as camera or other electronics. But if its a desktop or laptop it wont be that easy because you will need to reprogram the desktop or laptop using an English windows installer from an american seller which is more work. If your looking for a fun place to check out akihabara is the center of it all but is a little far from Yokosuka.

We have a computer repair shop next to the BX in Yokota, they sell all that stuff I don't really know their prices but they seem to keep busy. I would imagine that you could get the best price online though for the actual hardware/software, you just have to deal with the postal system.

and warranty claims/returns are painfully slow...Thus local in Yokosuka would be nicer in my case.  I do tons of computer repair, maintenance and upgrades, so a good Computer Hardware store, close by, would be ideal.
