Hello All!! I am trying to gather information on the area of Oppama/Shonantakatori? I am moving to this are and wanted to hear others experiences and if this is a family friendly and safe area for my 2 year old. And any other information on the area would be helpful. Where the best places to eat are, where the parks are located, anything is welcomed. Thanks!!

Hello Jess, we just moved into Shonan Takatori ourselves. It seems to be a very quiet and peacful area. We're up on the hill aways from the Oppama elementary school which can be a bit boisterous during the days. It's about a half mile walk to the oppama train station from where we're at. An easy five block walk to the Shonan Takatori center with it's Seiyu market there. There is a larger Seiyu across the street from the Oppama train station. Also along the 16 there are shops and restaurants. This is a bit of a hilly area with some sttep inclines/declines. Hope this helps, and welcome to the neighborhood.
