If you have Stong VPN, then you don't need to flash your router. Simply connect to the VPN on your computer and then go to the Netflix or Amazon website. This only works when you use your computer (can sometimes work on the iPad or iPhone as well, follow set up instructions on the Strong VPN website).

HOWEVER, you will not be able to access Netflix or Amazon through any device (xBox, Wii, etc) unless you flash the router. This is a very complicated process and requires someone who knows what they're doing otherwise the router turns into a nice paper weight. After the router has the necessary software, there's more steps that need to be taken in order to connect to the VPN on all devices.

I have a router that is flashed already that I am not using. Unfortunately, the steps after flashing are too complicated for me to figure out on my own. I would be willing to sell this pre-flashed router if you are interested.

Just googled around & found this. I can't speak for the specific product, but it's food for thought...

What cfsdf is right - plus your network speed would be faster on a wired connection

If you're not sure how to connect to StrongVPN, check the help pages on their website for instructions

If you still want to use your router, first you have to make sure your device is dd-wrt compatible

    Check here first: http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.ph...e_First.21

If your router isn't on the list, then I strongly encourage you to buy a router that is already flashed. Flashing is a delicate process and if you mess up 1 small part, you'll ruin the router and you'll be out $ since warranties don't cover flashing.

ThaiGuy provided a list for Buffalo Technology and there's also Sabai Technologies (www.sabaitechnologies.com) - both companies sell pre-flashed dd-wrt routers.
