Off-Base Gyms in Yokohama

Greetings! My husband and I (OK, mainly me) are looking for gyms off-base in Yokohama that also have indoor pools. I'm a triathlete, and looking to live in downtown Yokohama but realize that the Yokosuka base is somewhat a train ride away (although I'd still do it). I realize that there is a Gold's Gym but also know it's about $130/month for membership - anyone know if they have military rates? In addition, if anyone knows of any other Yokohama, off-base gyms (in any area really), please let me know. I'm training for an Ironman so a gym with a pool (similar to Gold's) is essential. Yokohama is very big and have many Gyms. When you know where you live I can help you. But when you want use the Pool about $100 - $180/month for membership is normal and I don't think any Gym in Yokohama have military rates.

They have Gold's Gym in Japan? How far is Yokohama from yukosuka? I am coming next year and was wondering if the gym's there have the LES Mills programs. Typicallly most gyms in the US have Les Mill prorgams... Bodypump, bodycombat, RPM... They are great programs. Any info is appreciated!!!

Dalston, there is a Gold's Gym right in Yokosuka if you live by or on base. It's right on the main street, less than a ten minute walk. Don't know anything else since I only use the on base one!

Dalston - we're looking to live in Yokohama which is apparently a pretty big city and about 1/2 hour from Yokosuka by train. We're a married couple with a dog and looking to live off-base so looking for gyms in Yokohama is also what we're looking for. You probably won't need a gym if you live near the Yokosuka base since they have great facilities.

Yes I see. After looking at the prices for memebership.. Im thinking twice..I just love LES MILLS programs at Gold's Gyms.. Oh well i guess I will be utilizing the classes held on base.
