Sailors undoubtely have it better than before be that doesn't mean it can continue for forever, it's obvious here that many people feel they are entitled to a 100% free ride because it is owed them. Reducing the number of dependents would indeed save big money (school, utilities, building maintenance, water, sewage, etc,). I say let's start by removing the washers, dryers, air conditioners and free micro waves from housing. not a big start but a start none the less. We could also dump taco bell, starbucks, chili's, they are an uncessary expense.
Remember, you aren't entitled to any of this, it is a free benefit given to you at taxpayer eexpense. We should do all we can for the sailor, whing entitlement depedndents are another matter. Go do a tour in Souda Bay and then whine about how bad you have it.

Not only would money be saved but the environment for the young single sailor would be improved by the removal of that parasitic biological infestation of whining bitching stateside dependents. The young single sailors would no longer have to compete for access to the bases limited services.

@Sailor - You asked, "What makes me special". For one, I am still on active duty fighting for the rights and benefits for all military personnel and their families. I rose from the ranks of E1 to W4. Which means that I have seen and lived both the enlisted and the officer worlds. My suggestion to you, is to stay retired. As I said before and will continue to say, cutting Military pay and benefits for either the service member or their families is totally ridiculous. Decisions like that kill the service members morale and put undue stress on their families. The Federal Government, not the military, needs to focus on reducing the debt at their level and cut the unneccesary spending on bogus programs in order to reduce the debt of the US.

Since this thread is getting silly, I will add my two cents.

Well first we raise taxes for everyone, except big businesses. That will allow them to employ more people while helping the government to pay off the debt. Then we remove all of our military presence overseas and throw nukes at whoever messes with our allies. Lastly, we hand over the keys of the White House and the Capitol to Wal-Mart and Big Oil. If anyone can balance the budget, it's people who can run the government for profit!

This thread is done and will be locked.

I have received numerous complaints over the discussions, and attitudes that was portrayed to one another.

Some JB members take offense and are very sensitive to certain situations and things that are said to them.

They end up sending me private messages complaining, and I want JB members to realize, that people do have opinions.

They have the right to their way of thinking. Wrong or right, its their opinion. I respect that, and allow that type of discussion to happen freely.

But when people step over that limit, when they result to name calling, and curse words to one another, I will step in, and lock the discussion.

Those individuals, if they want to play that way on JB, will be either banned, or deleted from JB.
