Called the Kanto Lodge this morning....their system was down and they couldn't make any reservations, try back tomorrow....asked if they had space this weekend for a Space A traveller....yes, yes they assured me...lots of space...

Called back this afternoon (not waiting around for tomorrow) and was told, they are all booked and they have no Space A rooms available. Sorry.

Any other ideas on convenient places to stay on or near base? We're trying to catch a MAC flight so we may be there from one to four nights depending....

GRAH. Dealing with all this MAC flight stuff is driving me insane.

did you ask them if they had room at the tower? it's on the other side of the flight line...I have never had an issue with needing a room when coming from yokosuka...Good luck and sorry I could not help more

That's correct the Kanto lodge is by the O'Club, and near the BX on the East side is the TLF.

Any time I've called they said they're booked. Show up on their doorstep and they had entire tower practically empty.

Both of them located near Fussa train station. But I don't think they are not walking distance from the AMC terminal specially with luggage.

Thanks! I guess Space A people can't make reservations, so I'm just going to show up when I get there and see what they can do....if not I'm glad to know there's a few options off base too.

There is one right across HWY-16 but it may be a "Love" hotel I'm not sure I can't really tell them apart. The Kanto will have a list of all local hotels. It doesn't seem to busy around here I think you'll be just fine.

Does it have a purple & pink neon sign? Then it's a love hotel. 

I spent 20 days on a Space A basis at Yokota trying to catch a Space A flight back to Korea. I had no problem and it was during the PCS season. It is best if you show up there like I did. 15 days I stayed in the main building, but I later had to move to another building as some people on orders showed up. I was with a bunch of other people who were retirees like myself and we had no problem staying there. They are strict on people playing games with them though. Like another person staying in your room who is your friend, but does not have money for his own room. Usually if you hang around someone will cancel.
