It looks very nice. I would have stayed there in a heartbeat when I first moved here over staying at The Navy Lodge. I like that it has a w/d in the unit and a nice little mini-kitchen. I prefer staying out in town over on base anyways. The only thing that seems to be the problem is the nightly rate. W/ the current exchange rate, I don't think it's w/in per diem. Most people probably wouldn't be willing to pay out of pocket if it's over their per diem.

Does anyone know what the per diem rate is for Yokosuka? I know it's $184 (around 14,000Y) / night in Yokohama. I imagine Yokosuka gets even less......oh wait, hubby just found the current per diem for Yokosuka. It's $218 / night - more than Yokohama! Imagine that - that's equal to 16,500Y (@ 76Y/dollar) w/ the current exchange rate.

Sounds like a great option for newcomers if you ask me!

Thanks for the review. It is a very great option for newcomers in the Yokosuka area.

Current per diem (9/7/11) for Yokohama is $184; there's no listing for Yokosuka so it's probably the same.  So you would be out of pocket a little bit, say $30 at current exchange rates if Yoko-girl's math is right. Please note: The per diem tables are updated from time to time, so with the current awful exchange rate perhaps per diem rate will increase.

This seems like a pretty nice place, plus it has AFN which is an unexpected bonus.  If I was unable to get on base, personally I'd pay $30 out of pocket for a decent room like this.

I received a private tour of this hotel couple days ago, since I know the owners...

They asked me to stop by and see the place. I told them to post this post to JB, since I think it would help them to explain to the community that a new establishment is available.

Personally, I dont think this facility is good for families, but more for single guys that was privacy.

There is an elevator that brings you to your floor. Best part is your floor, is your floor. You are the only one.

I think the place looked amazing inside. It was definitely well renovated, and its all brand new.

If your a single contractor, or govt guy that is coming out here to Yokosuka, this is the best place for you to stay. You will like it way better than New Yokosuka. It has everything you will need and more..
