I'm a military spouse with a degree in math, new to Okinawa and interested in substitute teaching. Does anyone have information on the process I have to go through in order to be registered/hired to teach?

@ Courtney - I just picked up a Sub application packet directly from the school. No worries, fill it out, get finger printed, drop off back ground check paper work to security. Now just waiting for call/email for online training invitation. Good luck!

Thank you all so much for the valuable information! I really appreciate it! I ended up picking up an application from the nearest school and am in the process of filling it out and hopefully in a classroom soon
