    I am new to the area. I have a 3 year old son and a 1 year old son and im really just looking for new groups to be apart of. I was wondering if there are any mommy and me groups on the Yokosuka base or even better like a stroller group that all gets together to go for walks to lose weight and such. We had a lot of groups like this in the states and I was just looking to see if there was anything here like that!!

    i am too and i dont know of any either although i think i heard if you contact ffsc they have a couple of groups? anyways, i would love to join you on walks or whatever. my husband is deployed and i have a 9 month old girl and 7 year old girl and i live on base right near the gym and school. i was planning on going to the gym and stuff soon but im all for walks as i do it around the track on my own anyways. message me if youre interested and we can work something out.

    There is a "play morning" groups every Friday that starts at 9:30 in Ayame Tower. There is loads of toys and books for the kids to play with together along with a ball pit and "climbing" area. My son is 15 months old and really enjoys it!

    And if you guys are planning on getting together to walk, I would love to join you also

    Ikego also offers play mornings, you just have to check with FFSC out at Ikego to find out location/time.

    I do believe there was once a stroller group coordinated through Purdy (or, perhaps, MWR?)-- the strollers use to be out in full force early in the mornings! Before my friend PCS'd she'd workout with them (last year sometime). Maybe, you can ask Purdy/MWR and they would know more, good luck!

    I don't know if any of you tried to go to the group today (I did) but I guess they aren't doing it today? I don't know, I wasn't able to go last week, maybe because it's 4th of July weekend? But I promise they really do usually have them! lol. Try again next week! They are really fun!

    I would love to join too!  I live by the Navy Lodge and would love to join for play dates.  I have a 23 month old girl that is probably bored out of her mind during the day when her sister is off to school.  Let's try to set something up soon.

    I have a son that just turned 4. I live near the Navy Lodge as well. I would love to have play dates with others that are his age. I would be in for stroller walks too when it gets a little warmer.

    I also wanted to throw out there that we are in the Uraga area, if anyone happens to be close, we walk to the kids parks around here often on my husband's work days & I'm sure my girl (as well as myself) would absolutely love some company!

    It seems all the stay-at-home spouses are all seeking to get out of the house.  There is another discussion "Navy husbands/stay-at-home-dads".  At the moment, it's still a little chilly out for stroller walks and the my biggest challenge currently is that my 23month old has decided that she does not want to sit in her stroller. 

    Just wanted to share some information on this thread, there is Toddler Story Time at the Library every Wed at 10:30-11:00.  I went today and we discussed about Farm Animals.  I believe next week's topic will be about Food and Eating Healthy.  FFSC also has Play Mornings every Friday at 9:30-11:00.
