To all of our new and long time loyal JB members:

We are almost there!  2 years.. (on July 1st, 2011).. Those that have been with us for all this time, I just want to tell each of you, "Thank You".

We've probably discussed privately or openly through the forums over the years, and all the feedback, ideas, and contributions, do not go unnoticed.

As I realized we were closely approaching this 2 year mark, I noticed we were close to reaching the 4000 mark. 

So to bump us and help get us there, we decided to hold another campaign.

If you joined anytime within the month of June 2011, you are automatically enrolled in our drawing that will be help July 2nd.

We will try and hold (If, I have time ) another live video stream via (USTREAM) to select the winner.

If you are a member, please share this with your friends.  Help us get to this 4000 mark before July 1st.

I am heading to Hawaii soon for the 4th of July, but I will attempt to do a video picking the winner from the hotel, and then post the winner.

More great news to share... Since the campaign went well, with people spreading the word, we are going to startup, a new (monthly $50 campaign).. I need your ideas for different ways to have a promotion.

1) New Members Joined That Specific Month
2) Top Members Involved - People can vote for who they think should win, or who has participated the most.
3) Submit your best photo to the site of some random topic..
4) Submit a video to the site, expressing what JapanBases.com has meant to you, or how its helped you..
5) Random just pick a person from all members registered...


Please share your ideas, and whatever one gets the most people agreeing to the idea, we will choose it for next month to kick off a new era of JB...

I like the number 3 photo idea the best! I love getting to see all the different things in Japan and it makes me want to visit every place!

I don't like #1 cuz then all the old-timers will be thinking "What about me??"

I don't like #5 cuz it doesn't encourage participation; it's entirely passive.

#2-4 sound great! They are open to everyone, and encourages people to post & contribute.

Sorry I havent announced a winner yet from last months campaign. I have been pretty busy lately, and I a hoping to get it all finished by the end of the weekend. All of the raffle tickets with everyone that registered in June 2011, is written down. I am planning to shoot a video to select the winner, and post it on Youtube, and then to JB so people can see who was selected.

This website is awesome!! It is helping me so much preparing for our arrival in Japan in Jan. Great idea Adam!! I am sure this site has a huge impact on the military community.
