Could someone please help me with direction to the Sogo Fukushi Kaikan Hall from the main Yokosuka Base?

I want to attend their next workshop on July 3rd, and take advantage of this opportunity to register my son for the "Japanese Summer School" for that one week in August. (There's flyers around base for this one.)

Has anyone gone to any of the events that they put on periodically and/or their summer school? I know they were at the galley yesterday taking registrations but we got held up at the hospital with my daughter  so I wasn't able to take my son to register, but I hear fun things about their events.

    JJaMS,

If you look at this older post, there was a festival there in the past.

16th Japan Festival In Yokosuka - Sogo Fukushi Kaikan Hall

I went into the DOC and took a snapshot of the map.

    Here it is:

I saw that when I searched the site, but I don't get it?
How do I know where to walk? (I'm pretty new here so I don't know how to read these kind of maps yet.)

I had heard it was in walking distance from the Chuou station, but that map shows it right outside the door of the base between the main gate and Daiei. (Have I been walking past it all this time?!? OMG!

There is a path just past the police station walking toward Daiei that looks like it's going to the base, there's a little playground there. Follow the path to the right and you will see a parking garage. Either enter the garage and go through the sliding door or continue to the bicycle/motorbike parking and small parking lot and turn right into the building.
If you miss the path, there is a driveway that leads to it as well. Just turn right and follow it to the building.
You can see the building through the fence behind Club A and the inspection area , so it is very close to the base.

Oh, wow! Thank you! I realize now that I HAVE been walking past it all these times we go between Daei and the main gate. Gosh! I feel dumb!

Have you gone to their events before?

I've been going to Japanese class there weekly.
I also have been to their culture fairs. They are rather nice.  They have kimono dressing, ikebana, calligraphy, koto lessons, and obon dance.
