Can anybody help me with or relate to dealing with Evacuations and the allowances? My husband and I sent in our travel claim weeks and weeks ago and was told we would receive our money within ten days, its been weeks. Nobody ever answers and we have been emailing them and they were responding early on. We cant seem to get any answers and we havent received aanything yet since moving here. We have had to put a lot of things on our credit card and are now 8000 in the hole because we had to pay everything up front. We were in the process of a move here with everything gone and cars sold when they put us on a move hold. We were put in evacuee status. I spent weeks in a hotel and travelled to safe haven. They said everything was cleared and good. Now we are sitting here STILL getting paid the same amount of money from our last command in the states because even COLA hasnt kicked in. My husband is on the GW and their systems have been down for over a month and hasnt updated our pay. This is insane. We are maxed out living on a small paycheck and havent even got our DLA either??!!! WTH! My husband says their is nobody else to contact and I guess we are at the mercy of EVACUaATIONS? Doesnt make sense. Ugh can anybody give us advice our have he same issues???

Lots of people are in the same boat. Commands are supposed to forward a list of those who haven't been reimbursed to PSD. In the meantime; You might want to look into getting an advance in pay. When you PCS I think you request a pretty good hunk of change that is normally paid back within a year interest free. You might also be able to request emergency assistance from Navy Marine Corps Relief society

I volunteer for Navy Marine Corp Relief Society. I can't tell from your post whether you are already here in Japan or still in the States but either way, please make an appointment with Navy Marine Corp Relief Society and let them know what is going on. They can give you an interest-free loan. If you have any other questions, please message me.

Not sure if your problem has been solved but here is what PSD just posted on their Face book page...
For anyone who has yet to receive their travel claim liquidation for the Voluntary Authorized Departure, PSD is taking names (from CPCs only, please) and sending them to the right folks. 93 claims have been completed through this process, and we've received only 14 more - please see your CPC!!!
CPC = Command PASS Coordinator, your command's liaison with PSD. There are many claims that have yet to be paid so we figured out a way to "bridge the gap." TPC has been very responsive to this new process!
I am whats known as MANTASTIC!!!

Is anyone having problems getting their claims still or are we one of the few still? this is ridiculous. We put in the claim in July when we finally were able to come back (due to passport problems as we have an infant) and I have been getting the run around as to when and if we will get paid, the evac wiped out our entire savings and not to mention we didnt get family sep pay or cola from april on.

We had a horrible time trying to get reimbursed! Three different people stated the started our claim and when I went down to PSD nothing had even been started. I wouldn't recommend going down to PSD, because they will just give you and email address and tell you google the dd1351-2 travel voucher and fill it out yourself. Which if you ask me is a joke, since that is there job not ours, but anyways send all your information to EVACUATIONS@NAVY.MIL I did everything myself and we got reimbursed within 10 days, where as it took them over 6 months and still nothing was done. Good Luck!!!

Yup we did the email to evacuations at navy mil thing, back in july after we got home, were told would take up to 30 days and its October 6th, hubby has sent numerous emails to them, no reply....has asked chain of command and were told that they would look at a list every day and that is the only way to know when we are getting paid, but as of this day we still aren't on that list. Its so irritating.

Unfortunately there was never any thought process involved with the evacuation planning. I suspect that the money to pay per diem was pulled from this pot and that, now that those sources have run out they have to dig up the money from somewhere else. Any payments being processed probably ground to a halt on 30 Sep 2011. Good luck, all I can suggest to that everyone who has this problem get together and demand answers from USFJ and contact your congressional representatives, they seem to have no problem handing out money quickly to illeagal aliens.

Yeah, it's kinda up for grabs if anyone will get paid for their jobs after November once the "super-committee" can't come up with a budget for the government.

We still haven't gotten ours yet either. Even though I emailed them multiple times and called and left messages on their 800 line. Still working with our command, but I've pretty much given up hope! I'll let you know if I ever see a dime from all that chaos!

The money for this maybe allotted in the same manner that money for damaged household goods is portioned out. X number of dollars are put in th pot to satisfy damaged HHG claims, when the pot is empty you have to wait until next year to get reimbursed, another tidbit FISC doesn't tell you when you are moving. I waited 14 months for payment of a claim once.

This is driving me crazy, So we put ours in back in July, was told we would have by august, told again in september for sure by freaking end of october, nope not here, so i snooped found someone to call stateside and NO ONE FOLLOWED THROUGH ON CRAP. so now its being resubmitted because the powers that be don't give a crap about it. Honestly Why is it that I will stay up until 2 am to make a phone call but admin wont? same answer every time, no one has answered the emails we have sent. THEN PICK UP THE PHONE AND CALL SOMEONE ABOUT IT. It just appears that it has nothing to do with them so they really dont give a rats butt. i am so sick and tired of it all.
