    Certainly everyone is well aware of the steadily rising prices at the pumps but has anyone else noticed the price for diesel has been higher than for gasoline for the past several weeks?  Off-base, the price difference remains about 20% cheaper for diesel even as overall prices have increased.  Diesel fuel is a lower grade petroleum product that costs less to refine than gasoline yet we are being charged steak prices for ground beef.  Anyone know how base fuel prices are determined?

    Can't answer your question, but I have a feeling gas prices are going to get worse, before they get better. A lot of families are going to be hurtin' over the summer with record high gas prices. This is not going to help our already wavering economy.

    It's a lot of things --BTUs, taxes, laws, supply and demand, etc. The price isn't like that just to yank anyone's chain. Unfortunately there is no single answer, and it's not just here it's happening.
