DBIDS Registration – Don’t forget to register in the Defense Biometric Identification Data System (DBIDS)! Due to the updated Non-combatant Evacuation Operation (NEO) plan and increase in force protection and random anti-terrorism measures, all military, civilian employees, Navy By CNFJ Public Affairs The U.S. - Japan Navy Friendship Association (JANAFA) is seeking nominations of Navy personnel for an award recognizing their contributions that enhance the JANAFA organization’s goal of promoting friendship and mutal understanding between the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) and the United States Navy through social functions. Nomination eligibility requirements must meet at least one of the following categories: • Been engaged in activities in keeping with the goal of the association during working hours. • Provided technical assistance, labor or other services for the JMSDF (member and their families) during off-duty hours in support of its welfare activities. • Promoted sports and recreational activities with the JMSDF. • Been engaged in activities to maintain jointly used facilities and to prevent accidents therein. • Other good deeds that may deserve recognition. U.S. - Japan Navy Friendship Association award nominations sought contractors and their family members including children 10 years of age and older, Master Labor Contract (MLC) employees and local contractors onboard Yokosuka Base or assigned to afloat units are required to register in DBIDS. Personnel that are currently registered in DBIDS but have had changes to their profile must come in and update their information. The DBIDS registration office is located at the main gate inside building 1495. Customer service hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
