Has anyone driven to Narita since the tragedy?  Are roads open, are there any restrictions.  Help trying to make some last minute decisions.

Or should I just train it from Yokosuka?

    Thanks!

I believe part of the Shuto B is down near Disney- friends who went up yesterday say they took either the Aqualine or detoured the Shuto through the city.

One friend left Yoko a 6:30 and got there around 9:30 if I remember correctly. They said lines were VERY long so get there very early.

I'll see ya at the airport Gene! lol

When are you departing. And actually this is Gene's wife. I am so torn between driving, long term parking and train. Are you doing long term parking???

So for all of you that are leaving, where are you going? To stay with friends/family, a hotel? How long do you plan to stay gone? Do you all plan to come back? I am just wondering I have a 2 year old and 2 cats and I know if I leave now it would be easier to than waiting till they make/help us leave.

Plus what are you all finding for ticket prices?

My husband had to train it yesterday morning because his flight left too early to take the Narita bus. It took him 4 hours and 5 trains to finally get there...and he did say that the lines to check in/check luggage were really long.

I've started looking at flights and I'm finding very little. American has seats left for today in business class which is running about $5000 and on up. If I could get back to the states I would stay with family.

Yikes!  How can anyone afford that?  Would the military pay us back for the expense of fleeing?  Or would the want us to wait for them to tell us what to do?

I highly doubt that we would be reimbursed since CFAY keeps saying we are safe. I'm packing a suitcase and hoping I can get out of here somehow.
