I enjoyed the 45 minutes we had last Sunday but.....be careful what you wish for. I lived in Misawa from 2003-2006, 12 feet the first year there! You think the driving is bad now? Just wait till we get an inch of snow on the ground!

Oh no, if it sticks I'm staying home. Folks around here can NOT drive in the snow.

Good thing we're in Japan! No need to stay home, take the train! I think the beach looks awesome when the snow sticks.

Hasn't stopped snowing here all day.  It just started to stick a few hours ago.  It's still coming down pretty good.  Puppies didn't care for the snow too much.  I had to shove them out the doggy door to go potty!

It was sooo pretty driving home from Yokohama last night.  Slow going, but beautiful.  It was snowing HARD - so sad that its already melted

We were still pretty wet on Yokosuka base... it doesn't seem like it was covered as much compared to out in town. Boo.

burhhh yes.. but ours is melting as soon as it hits the ground.

Oh yeah. Just saw someone bite it in the slush outside on CFAY. It is starting to accumulate on the roads.

My son was so excited. he said, omg! its snow!!!! and rain! lol! Im kinda worried since he didnt put his thermals on., like I asked him to!

I just received an e-mail from the base, schools will close at 1200 today. Those of you with kids might want to make some quick babysitter arrangements if needed.

School Age Care and the Teen Center on Yokosuka will open at 1200. School Age Care will pick up the kids from the school.

well, i just got the email....they are coming home now.

I live in Yokosuka, off-base up a hill and in a forest-y shady area. We had a decent accumulation of snow even though they said there was no real accumulation on base. Roads are slick and slushy and in addition to the school closing, Community Bank also closed early. It has finally stopped snowing though and I really want to go for a run and check out the neighborhood in the snow.

My kids were so happy to wake up to see snow this morning!
