We will be moving to Yokosuka at the end of this year. Wondering if the Naval Hospital attempts VBACs (vaginal births after cesarean sections).  Looking to see if anyone has had a successful vbac at the hospital if so.  Many small community hospitals in the U.S. don't even allow them, so I was trying to find out any information that is available.
    Thanks!

I am 7 1/2 months pregnant with my 3rd, I had a vaginal birth with my first, but had to have a csection with the last one due to an infection. What I was told is that if you are not a high risk and if the incision was a low transverse (the low horizontal one), that they will let you try a vbac - especially if you have already had one child vaginally. I have a couple friends who have had successful VBACs here as well. If you would like, I can send you a message and let you know how mine goes - only 10 more weeks!!

    hi all.

so glad to find this thread.

i'm probably moving to japan at 7 months pregnant and want a homebirth vbac but may have to go for hospital birth. i'm thinking toyko would be better care than on base at yokosuka. please let me know how your vbac goes on base!!!!! i don't know if i should delay moving until after the baby is born or get a home set up there and deliver there.
    thank you. aliguida@gmail.com
