So I wanted to share my flight from Tokyo Narita, to Atlanta Georgia.  This was a direct flight on Delta.

About an hour after we left Narita, we are directly over the Pacific ocean, the captain announces that we will be hitting "some" turbulence in the next few minutes.  Everyone was to buckle up, and remain in their seats.

So hearing that several times, you figure, okay, just a little turbulence...  wwwooow.  No sir, it was crazy!

Everyones face as you looked around, had the, "OH CRAP, we are about to die face..."

I literally was thinking about the end..

The plane was shaking, and twisting so much, that all you hear were screams from the passengers.  Everyone was screaming at the top of their lungs..  The flight attendants, all fell to the ground, and they slowly go onto their seat, were they crouched down, and just held it tightly as we went through the turbulence.

It lasted for 2 minutes or so..

I've never ever felt a plane shake that much!  I hope I never do again either.

So the rest of the flight went great, no big issues.

Does anyone else have any crazy stories to share?

I flew out of DC's National airport during a snow storm once- after they de-iced the plane a half dozen times. All I could picture was crashing into the 14th Street Bridge again. It's a bit of a scary take off anyway, they have to pull up and turn really fast to keep from flying over DC.

Had an exeriance like that heading out of Tokyo Narita . About 4 hours into the flight the entire plane just drops. No warning or anything. Im talking the plane had that zero gravity thing going on. I could feel myself lift up out of the chair. Then the pilote comes on and says that we hit a pocket and to fastsen our seat belts for the expected turbulance. Then about 2mins later we hit another "pocket" and it felt like we were falling out of the sky. Then an huge bump and I dont really remeber alot of what eles happend. I just remeber thinking we must have hit the ocean. Yeah scared the crap out of me.

Last time I flew from Narita to Chicago there was turbulence for a few hours. It was very tense and sometimes very violent. They delayed a meal and drinks too.

But the worst was probably the bomb threats we used to get when we flew from England back to the States in the 90's. We had one flight severely delayed because of it. I was young, but talk about my parents being nervous the whole flight. Oh IRA...

Flying in the back of an S-2 Tracker anti-submarine warfare plane which had just catted off the USS Intrepid in the middle of the night with a pitching deck in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. The ride back and trap on the bird farm was even more fun. Miss those days.

Everytime I fly with Delta, I always experience turbulence. I flew with them 3 times my whole life and there was always crazy turbulence.
Last year when I flew with U.S. Airways, the plane dropped without warning; the pilot later informed us that we were flying towards another plane. I was terrified to fly after that incident.
