You want the truth and no judgments, then here it is:

There are too many temptations to name inside or outside the gate, as close as directly across the street or as far as a short train ride away. Whether it’s a strip club, a massagey girl, a h**** female sailor or someone else’s spouse; the long and the short of it, unless your spouse stays locked in his room... there are no guarantees he won’t encounter some sort of temptation.

Actually, I've been here for quite a long time, & to my knowlegde there are no strip clubs in Yokosuka.

Additionally, the local police & base securtiy teamed up to clean up the Honch prior to the APEC Summit. They cleared out all of the massage girls.

So, now, if you go out in the Honch, you don't have to deal with them following you down the street asking you, "Massagy? Massagy?"

No, you still do. They're either still there or they're back. It's pretty annoying, but they keep pretty quiet, are easy to out pace/ignore, and don't follow you for too long (only half a block or so).

And massage-y chicks are totally still there. They're easy to spot if you know what you're looking for. Or the group of three girls in bubble coats standing on the corner in the freezing cold is also a dead giveaway, ha ha.

I'll just say this, sometimes it's not the things and places off base you need to worry about...IJS....not gonna go back and forth, just take this time to do you get some things done you've been wanting to do weather it is losing weight, going back to school, etc, whatever it is and the time will go by quicker than being home worrying about what might or might not happen. No need to get mad at the responses, it seems alot of them were just being open, up front and honest......

Hello Im seabee who will be deploying to Yokosuka and had some questions for any seabee's back home. I heard a lot of things about san diego from other seabees and im just concerned. Is there many single guys or night clubs in the area my wife will be? If so can you give me names of the places and how far from housing? I trust my wife very much its just that im being paranoid bc this will be our first long deployment and it would suck if she's in an area like that.

I feel you dude! It would be a great shame if she went out...without you....and found those places!

A few tips...

1) Try to be nice at first with her (but still lay down the law) when you break the harsh news to her, see if you can try "You just can't be out there without me babe with those temptations out there...period, it's just not happening". Now, if she acts irrational and furious, you give her a break until the weekend comes...but start looking at other options...she needs to learn the hard way that she's not an adult...until you say she is. Sneak behind her back now, just to see what happens.

2) Like...have her car set up with the latest Vehicle Tracking Device, that way when she's out...you can follow her and snatch her by that stupid little ear, right out of those nasty areas, all while saying, "bad wife, bad wife, you need a good time out". Even if she's eating in a restaurant being "faithful", just hanging out with her friends, she'll still going to run into some male prostitutes...they are everywhere!

This is a good one...

2). Every time she tells you she's leaving the house..without you..give her a drink with some HEAVY drugs in it....try some over-the-counter sleep medication....the heavier the dose the BETTER. Just dump lots of them in there. After all, she will end up in those places anyway, and this is the ONLY way to keep her AWAY from those awful areas. Be sure to this...before...she jumps in the shower, the sooner the better. When she wakes up....witch might be in the hospital....tell her that she had food poisoning...that will explain her stomach being pumped.

Actually no....this one will do the trick...

3) Just keep her as your prisoner...she broke your law dude! Any room is fine, I suggest a chair combo....just tie her up, hands, legs together, tape in her mouth, and just put her favorite things in there...The T.V, her favorite movies, no books though....her hands must stay tied at all times...even when she rings that little bell to go potty...

Get ready to give her a hand!

Ah man you may want to just chock that one up to the gamw pimpin, you in Japan...she's in San dog city of beaches and sun shine. Its guys you need to worry about not her, I sugest you work that out with her before you go.

For the record, my wife is quietly snoozing in the futon in the next room & I have NO questions whatsoever about her conduct when I'm here or away. :-)

My husband has visited all these places. I went to visit him in a few of them. I dont think all men cheat. Its about the character of your man. I have faith that my husband will always think about me and the kids before he does something stupid, like sleeping around with some prostitute.
