Japan National Defense Academy (NDA) will hold their open campus event "The 58th School Foundation Memorial Festival" this weekend, Sat. Nov. 20 and Sun. Nov. 21, 2010.

NDA is at Hashirimizu, Yokosuka. (few kilometers south east from U.S. Yokosuka base.)

Highlight of the event is Blue Impulse air show. Blue Impulse is the Japan Air Self Defense Forces aerobatic team.

There are lot of events including:

    [Nov. 20]
    13:50-15:00 Parachute jump drill display
15:30-16:00 Blue Impulse air show (drill)

    [Nov. 21]
    10:30-12:00 Review of the troops
11:25-11:34 Blue Impulse air show (as a part of the troops review above)
14:30-16:30 "Pole war" (NDA's historical event. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbqigvzzcdk so that you can see what it is.)

The event is free of charge of course, but some nationality check MAY apply. I believe U.S. citizens are OK... (Not 100% sure.)

    No car parking for visitors.

Direct buses will operate from Keikyu Mabori-Kaigan station.
You can also get there by:
    - Bus Route SU-22 to NDA from Yokosuka station. (30 minutes)
    - Bus Route SU-22 to NDA from Mabori-Kaigan station. (5 minutes)
    - Bus Route HORI-23 to Tateno-Danchi from Mabori-Kaigan station. (5 minutes)

    Event detail: (Japanese only)
