Is it just Iwakuni, or all over Japan... these stupid politicians driving around with huge loudspeakers on their cars saying (presumably): "Vote for me, vote for me, I'm so wonderful!!"

They go everyday from 8 AM to 8 PM.  I live on some little back street among the lotus fields and they are here continuously. Don't they have somewhere more populated to campaign?  Then they are waving through these tinted windows, all I can see are their white gloves. I really think they are robot arms cuz they keep waving to the lotus fields and there's nobody there!!  Is this really how they campaign in Japan?

Tell you what, if it was me... I'd get the loudest speakers I could find, start driving around like 6 AM screaming my opponents name and get everyone P.O.'d at him.  That'd work better that shouting your own name all day long.

We had the same thing when living off base. We lived in Yoshii, Kurihama and they were SO loud. And they always seemed to come around when my son was napping. Yep it's annoying! Bad noise pollution..

They reached a fever pitch yesterday. Makes me think the election must be today. I certainly hope so, so they will just shut up & go home. Who really cares who gets elected Iwakuni dog catcher? Many times yesterday, I would hear two at the same time, squawking away. It's coming up on 8 AM now & I dread they will kick off for another day for noise pollution.
