    HELLO I AM LINDA, MY HUSBAND JUST RECEIVED ORDERS TO JAPAN. WE REPORT JULY 2011. DO WE BOTH HAVE TO ATTEND THE INTRO TO JAPAN CLASS TOGETHER OR CAN WE GO SEPRATELY? BECAUSE HE WILL ONLY BE THERE FOR 2 DAYS AND IT'S THE WEEKEND THEN HE WILL BE GONE PER ORDERS.  I JUST WANT TO KNOW IF I WIL HAVE TO STAY IN A HOTEL FOR A COUPLE MONTHS B/C HE CAN'T ATTEND THE INTRO TO JAPAN???? HELP PLEASE

    They can make an exception. So he has to talk to his command so they know what to prepare for. The sooner they know the better.

    My husband went to it, I didn't and we had our housing within a couple of days of me getting here with the kids. I can't see them making you stay in navy lodging until he comes back that would be a waste of money, good luck.

    You don't have to go together at all, and going to AOB/ICR has nothing to do with housing. You need to go to the housing office right off when you get here to start the housing process. If he is only here on the weekend, then make sure you have power of attorney before you get here so you can get a house. After he leaves you can attend Orientation. That is what we did...housing stuff the first week and then my husband left, and then I went to AOB.

    how is the base housing area in Yokosuka? Is it any differant from Ikego?
