I recently used VISA-VIETNAM.ORG to get my Vietnam Visa. It takes about 10 minutes online. The service fee ranges from $15-42, depending on the number of Visas you're getting and the length that it's good for. They will e-mail you a "Visa Approval Letter" with in two days. You'll need to get a couple of "passport size" photos taken (there's probably a few million of those booths in Japan). When you land, you go to the Visa counter, give them your approval letter and pics, pay your Stamp fee ($25 for single entry, $50 for multiple) and your in. Pretty simple. At least easier than going to the Vienam embassy in Tokyo. I think cheaper, too.
