I was wondering if anyone knows of a good salon near Ikego base.  I am looking for hair, waxing and nail services.  Thanks so much!

I don't know anything directly near ikego, but there are some beauty places near JR Zushi station. Also right near higashi zushi station on the main road (corner) there is a famous hair salon.

I would recommend the base for nails ( as much as it sucks) I get mine there, and you just have to get a good person. Yuki is great... she takes awhile, but she did mine yesterday and they LOOK SO good compared to other people there (i won't name names)

I DO NOT suggest getting nails done off base. I got mine done in Zushi when I first got here, and it was 14,000 yen. And I'm not even joking. I was pissed. Oh, not to mention that the full set I had put on FELL OFF... yeah, completely FELL OFF not even a week after they were put on. They refused to refund my money. Stick to the base is my best advice.

Also.. Miko... (I think thats her name or Meiko... something like that) works at the Ikego Salon on base , and she is great... and really nice. She also works a couple days at the main exchange. I know a lot of people go to her. She also waxes eyebrows. Again, she's the only one i'll let touch the brows. lol. Some chick Avante (don't know if I spelled that right ) totally screwed up my eyebrows and gave me the worst cut and color of my life. she's on the main base.

As much as it sucks, on base is probably your best bet. you just have to go to someone reliable and good. So ask around.
