BZ: I want to take a moment to point out an outstanding employee who left Survey says... The Yokosuka City and Chamber of Commerce is looking for ways to better serve the Yokosuka Base community by asking for your response to the following survey questions: • What is your favorite restaurant in Japan and why? • What is your favorite store in Japan and why? Submit your response by e-mail to Seahawk-Umitaka@fe.navy.mil or in person to Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka Public Affairs office, building 3154, room 213, by March 7. a strong positive impression on me - what my coworkers like to call the “wow” factor. This evening I placed a to-go order over the phone with a Chili’s employee who identified herself as Stephanie. I already have a high opinion of the staff at Chili’s Yokosuka after seeing how they have kept things running smoothly during and after a rough opening, but this interaction put my satisfaction over the top. Stephanie answered the phone cheerfully, took my order, reviewed it back to me before placing it, gave me a reasonable time frame to pick up my food, then ended the conversation as cheerfully as she had started it. Throughout the conversation she was friendly, professional and helpful. I know they were having a busy night because there were several other to-go orders waiting when I arrived to pick mine up, but somehow Stephanie managed to make me (and I’m sure several other people) feel like I was a valued customer, not just another phone call. Having worked in customer service myself, I realize what a chore this can be, especially during a high-volume time. I feel that Stephanie went above and beyond to ensure the “wow” factor I mentioned earlier. Thanks for a great experience!
