Hope this is the right spot for this, maybe not, so I apologize if that is the case.    Recently my hotmail went on the blink on my iPhone, i.e., it wouldn't send or receive to/from my hotmail account which I set up about a year ago.   It was driving me crazy and I was missing a lot of email traffic.  It kept saying "password incorrect," "pop service not working," all these annoying pop-ups. So, I went on-line and blogged "problems with using hotmail on iPhone" and found this site:

which helped me set up my hotmail account through Microsoft Exchange. Now it works fine. It may be that I could have used that service before, but I wasn't aware of it. Just sharing the knowledge with my JB.com friends.

thanks for the tip. I'm using pop3 for hotmail and it works fine, but if it ever trips out now I know what to do. Anyone looking to follow this tip, I recommend you read the comments on Mike's link. There are some downsides to this solution (mixes HM contacts with your address book, etc.)
