Anyone know how much public parking is at Haneda?

As you may project, this is a very expensive parking like mid Tokyo downtown area. 200 Yen for the 1st 30 minutes After that 200 Yen every 30 minutes until 7.5 hours. Fixed 3,000 Yen rate is applied to 7.5 hours to 24 hours.

You can also park your car at some of off-site parking lots. I usually use Sun Parking when I fly from Haneda:

Their parking fee is daily basis. Basic price plan is 3,150 Yen for the 1st day, but there are several discount programs. If you reserve in advance from Web Form and pay by credit card, price will be 2,200 Yen for the 1st day, but it may be hard for foreigners who don't understand Japanese... So I recommend to print their discount coupon from URL below:

You will receive 500 Yen discount from regular rate (3,150 Yen) = 2,650 Yen by use of this coupon. You may be noticed that this isn't a big bargain from the airport's own parking, but Sun Parking is at out of Ukishima exit of Shuto Express way, one exit closer to Yokosuka than Haneda airport exit, which means you can save toll 300 Yen per one way. (Sun Parking's shuttle bus operated very often like every 5 - 10 minitus between Sun Parking's parking lot and airport.) So if you will park 5 hours or less, the airport's parking is better, but you will park longer than 5.5 hours, Sun Parking is cheaper. I assume you will pick someone up, and not park overnight? If you will park more than a day, you should use off site parking.

I'm not picking a/one up.  I'll need 3 day parking (flying up to Hokkaido).  My flight leaves too early in the morning for me to catch the first train out to Haneda, plus, we'll have skies and a large ski bag, so it'll just be easier to drive & park there. 

I didn't realize it would be so expensive to park for only 3 days, especially w/ the ever so shrinking dollar!!!!

If having big ski equipments baggages is your primary concern (thinking to use cars), "Ski Takkyubin" is an option. See URL below: (in English)
Most Japanese ski area hotels accept this. I've used this system few times when I went to ski by public transportation. Not super cheap, but very comfortable while you travel.

Tokyo Haneda airport announced that they changed parking price. This is unbelievable BIG change, and it's now much much cheaper than it used to be.

Thanks for the update Okumura! It's nice to see places like that actually drop their rates. It's still quite takai compared to U.S. standards.......now, if only the dollar would get a little stronger! Again, thanks for the update!

Do you know if they allow americans to park at sunparking? Since its in Japanese and a few people actually told me that some parking lots around Haneda doesn't service those who can't speak Japanese because we won't understand their rules.

Going to try this parking at Haneda for a 5 day trip to Phuket. Looked at the parking link/costs and there is also a section for Reserved Parking...Does anyone know if you need to reserve a spot ahead of time or can you just drive up and park? Would hate to get there and not have a place to park!

I'd suggest a visit to ITT and have them sort out the reserved parking. They could make the reservation for you. But of course, it will be more expensive than what Okumura posted.

This discussion makes me appreciate being in Iwakuni. Parking at tiny Hiroshima Airport is 800 yen/day, and the outlying lot is 500 yen with a free shuttle. I'm gonna leave the car there when we fly to Sapporo. Cost for 4 days parking is just 2000 yen.

Thanks - Been there on three ship visits, last one 12 years ago. Going to take the family this time and share with them a bit of the sites from the Westpacs of days past when we actually got to go to a few ports. Wow...it's expensive to park at Haneda...when we go somewhere out of Narita and we park our car, it's something like 4,000 yen for a week! When you reserve your parking (before you leave) you let them know your return time, and they have your car washed when you pick it up
