We purchased a backyard pool at COSTCO, now I am hoping to find some pool chemicals such as "SHOCK" or chlorine tablets, perhaps even a water testing kit. COSTCO did not carry these item, nor the filtration pump.... looking for local source, or even suggestion to which TOYSRUS is closest to Yokosuka base. I realize that backyard pools may not be popular in Japan, and this may still lead to an online purchase. Tried to navigate the Toys. jp website, but not being familar with the regions, it was frustrating for me. appreciate suggestions! Thx!

Maybe have a Japanese friend call a pool supply store for you? There must be one nearby. Online ordering might be a problem; i'm wondering if they will ship chlorine through the mail. I've had so many items that no one will ship to an FPO.

I don't know if Toys'R'Us is a location that will sell any kind of chemicals, but the site for them is http://www.toysrus.co.jp/h/english.html not Toys.jp. If you go to the URL I posted there is an English Store Locator for Japan. I believe the closest one is out the gate turn right and go for a bit. Honestly I have never been inside a Toys'R'Us in Japan.

I asked a Japanese friend of mine who has a siming pool at her backyard.
She told me she bought pool chemicals at Pharmacy inside Homes .
But ofcouse the chemical information is in Japanese.
