New to Misawa? Want to get outdoors and explore Japan? Well, lucky for you the Misawa Geocachers Organization is here!! Geocaching is a great way to get outdoors and explore Misawa, Japan, and the world!! Geocaching is a high-tech treasure-hunting, outdoor game where the player uses a GPS receiving device to find a container (geocache) that another player has hidden. Visit www.misawageocachers.org and join the forums for more information on geocaching in Misawa. Visit www.geocaching.com and make a FREE account! It's quick and easy! Visit www.podcacher.com for a podcast all about geocaching! Visit www.tnlnsl.jp for a Japanese geocaching group. This site is in Japanese. Thanks!! How fun! I hope you have a lot of interest in your club!

I've done letterboxing in Dartmoor, England- it was so fun. Letterboxing is Geocachings grandaddy. On one outing with about 15 other teams, my team found about 10 letterboxes- every one on the site EXCEPT the one we were actually looking for, LOL. But we got bonus points for finding the most, hahahaha!

I used to geocache around Misawa. I used to have 4 caches that I hid in the area. Two have been adopted and one is still mine. Now I'm down in the Yokosuka area. I haven't had as much time for geocaching.

I friend of mine in Jacksonville got me into Geocaching. I've snagged a few, but none in Japan yet! Too bad Misawa is so far from Yokosuka!

    Happy caching!

There are a lot of caches near Yokosuka. Especially if you head up toward Tokyo.

I'll probably start hitting them up when it gets a little cooler. How many have you found here so far?
