So here I am in little ol' Iwakuni, and neither the bookstore nor the library has the Military Travel Guide (or Military Lodging, whatever it's called.) 

Stranger still, neither the librarian nor the bookstore manager had ever heard of it. I just got the blank stare when I asked (correction, library had a 1992 edition which I refused to even try; too out-of-date).

I'm wondering if any of you closer to civilization would pick one up at the Exchange & MPS to me.  I promise to pay you right quick!  I'm planning a trip in 2 weeks around Japan and really need to guide to look at all my options.

For those not familiar with these books (there are several titles) they are invaluable! One is about Space-A travel (flying) with all the phone numbers & tips. The other is about places to stay: Navy Lodge, AF, recreational cabins, etc. etc. worldwide. You would be amazed where some of these places are: Lake Tahoe, all over Italy, Vegas, etc.
