    Aug. 13, 2010

BZ: I recently returned from leave in the United States and found that mold had grown in the hallway of my on base house – despite my best efforts to prevent this from happening.

I immediately call the Ikego Housing Office and spoke with Scott Otsuki about my issue.
Not an hour later he appeared at my door with a container to assist. He told me about vinegar, which he is used to kill mold – he actually had a canister full of it and sprayed the affected areas for me.

He also assisted with my stove which was giving me problems. I have called the Ikego Housing Office a couple times during my nearly four years here and he has always been helpful, patient and kind.

He goes out of his way to assist and always make my dealings with the housing office a pleasant experience.

I know that his “can-do” attitude is a reflection of good management and I thank you all for what you do everyday, helping to make our daily living as pleasant as you can.

The housing guys at Ikego have gotten a lot better in the past year or so. I called them about my oven a few months ago, the rep they sent over came in looked at it a said he would be sending a new one. The day came and he told me that he saw that my dish washer, washer and stove would all get replaced because he made a mental note from his last visit. I was so happy about it I gave the Japanese works some of my Alaskan Amber beer when they were done to thank them. I told the lead dude that my back fence needed a screen to keep the cats out too....5 minutes later there was a guy in my back yard adding a fence AND fixing the henge on the gate, I also gave him some beer too. Those guys are hot fyah when it comes to fixing stuff, I give them mad props.
I am whats known as MANTASTIC!!!
