You need internet enabled Japanese carrier's mobile phone (any of docomo (i-Mode), au (EZweb) or Softbank (Yahoo! Keitai) - legend: carrier name (its internet service name) to use this site. Wary about "internet enabled" phone? Virtually 100% of Japanese mobile phone contracts are internet enabled so assume yours are.

I like the jurudan train route finder as well. That is the one I seem to use the most.

Thanks for these tips. Is Jorudan free on your cell phone, or is there a monthly charge?

Basic functions (which all I need) of Jourudan for mobile is free, but English menu is in paid area. 210 Yen / month.

I have Jorudan bookmarked on my iPhone in Safari. Works decently once you zoom in a bit and turn the screen sideways.
