I recently downloaded the Navy Federal IPhone app. When i tried to use it, it said i needed to verify my account by entering my cell phone number online first. The problem is this only works inside the U.S.! ( I called NFCU and they said it was only available for customers inside the U.S.)

Not anymore! All you have to do is enter a cell phone number from someone you know in the states! ( friend or family ) someone you trust! Call them and ask if they recieved a text message with a code. (it is case sensitive) Put the code in online and try your IPhone app again! It works!

Is NFCU going to make any attempt to get the app to work for its overseas members? Also, can I use my BlackBerry Storm 2 in Japan. I love this phone & don't want it to be worthless when I get there.

yet another reason we do not use them...USAA has an Iphone app and I didn't have half this trouble to use the app....
run as fast as you can from NFCU lol

You would think that NFCU would have thought this through before launching this app.
