I noticed that Negishi isn't on the list. I really wish that everyone wouldn't forget our little piece of the USA in Yokohama. (I am hoping that you see the humor in that) I would like to know how much it is while I am away and how much it has changed over time. Is it possible to get local prices at stations around the base added on there also? Thanks!!!

Does Negishi have a gas station? I haven't been there in a while, and never remembered one. We didn't forget about them, just didn't think they had gas available.

If anyone knows a base that does not have gas station or is not on the list, please let us know.

We did consider the offbase gas prices, but 99% of people don't get gas offbase right near the base unless is an emergency. I don't think it would do much good. Maybe in the future, we may add that in, but for now let's see how much data can be collected.

I think Adam found a new code to play with =) I can't understand why this would be a oooh-aaah feature worthy of it's own tab. Or maybe I just don't care enough about gas prices- I pay whatever the Autoport charges because they have a monopoly on gas. Maybe it's a guy thing =) hehehe

I think spotlight is always a good thing. If we find disparities in price or odd trends we can always gripe & complain like good sailors & spouses. Posting Iwakuni price now. Hey, our price is in liters, not gallons. How about everyone else?

Adam, a suggestion. Our prices at the pump in 'kuni are in Liters, so that means I manually have to convert price per L to price per gal to enter on your webpage. I guarantee I or someone will do this conversion wrong (or get lazy & not do it at all). So how about a selector button that lets me choose Liters or Gallons when I input, and just enter the "native" price. Your code can convert to $/Gal and enter it in the website.

Thanks Thaiguy. For now, I ask that you just convert it to gallons, since most of us are all familiar with gallons. I will try to work some magic on some converting scripts on the backend, to do it for you.

BTW, I just added in Yokosuka to the gas area since I had to fill up gas today.

Negishi has a very convenient gas station right inside the main gate. I use it all the time when I'm in Yokohama.

btw, I made the 5-hour drive today from Iwakuni to Sasebo which is how I posted prices for both stations.

Anytime you can produce data that is not available anywhere else, its useful information to someone. Things will take time to make it interesting, but one day having the ability to go back and see historical data on a single base, or see references for all the bases on 1 page, is something that was never available to people before. It may be a guy thing, but I just think its interesting. Thanks again Thaiguy for the inputs.. Get some sleep.. I hate driving long distances like that in 1 day..
