    I've been to both theaters 2 times each in the past 2 months. I used to order Nachos each time I would come.

    Well the past few trips I would walk up and they said no they were out of stock.
    I took it as an understanding customer and just thought to ask the next time. Well again it happened again. Same answer. Then again, they said it was too late to make. I was a little pissed with that answer but still just let it go.

    I am sitting in the fleet theater as I type this to you. I just went to the window to order nachos. He said, oh we don't have that right. 5th time in a row being told no. I though this time to ask, "why" since he seemed like a nice enough guy. I was just told we aren't serving it because it takes too much time....

    Hmmmm..... Too much time.

    Is this what we decide for anything that takes time, just stop serving it?

    I am fine if they don't want to serve it, but they do have them, it just takes too much time to prepare.

    I really am confused by these answers I've received the last 5 trips asking for the exact same item.

    They could of simply said, sorry sir we don't carry it anymore, and I would of been happy with the answer. Not once did they say that. It was either it was out of stock, too late to prepare, or it takes too long.

    well that sucks. I hope you get a real answer from them about that.

    I wish they had better popcorn- it's always so chewy and soggy tasting. Yokota's theater popcorn is AWESOME tasting.

    Too much time? Such a ridiculous answer. They need to take it off the menu if they don't want to serve it. Nachos are a pretty regular menu item in theaters, people expect it.

    Sigh. No wonder people complain about service on base.

    I couldn't find the suggestion page, so I'm going to put this here, since it says benny decker.

    I can't access the benny decker page on the cfay website for some reason. it keeps saying connection problem, but i'm obviously connected.

    I suggest a page that shows the movies for each of the theatres. That'd make it convenient when the stupid cfay website doesn't work.

    @Amber..
    this was happening to me this weekend, acting like it was going to MWR page but then saying it was disconnected. We went to the website http://dodpki.c3pki.chamb.disa.mil/rootca.html
    Download the root CA2 certificate which is one of dod's security certificates. Immediatly I was able to access all the dod websites again including MWR without having problems and even got rid of my annoying security certificate error pages
    Hope this helps you!

    I feel for ya Adam. This just adds another drop to my cup of why I think the military base has such bad customer service.

    The guy who said "it just takes too long to make." That's awful.

    I used to be in food service. You have to plan your meals in a timely manner.

    To me, it just sounds like they are lazy.

    I'd love it if they would offer RED VINES.

    Also if they would clean up the condiment area. Sometimes it's so nasty that I just stop eating food there.

    "Too much time". Don't you just microwave a little plastic cup of cheez goo, and sprinkle some chips on a plate? Seriously, isn't that all it is?

    I would say this has been going on long enough that new employees have been indoctrinated by old employees to give the knee-jerk "Too hard" and they don't even know how to make nachos anymore. It probably all stemmed from a single employee who didn't like nachos and had no intention of making them for anyone. Just like quartermasters on a ship who don't drink coffee and darned if they are gonna brew coffee for the watchstanders despite it being a long-standing Navy tradition.

    The next natural step at the theater is that management will notice that no nachos have been sold since forever, decide that no one wants them, and take them off the menu. All because of some malcontent who no longer works there & didn't like them anyway. If you're gonna take action, better do it soon!

    @Adam

    Did you bring this situation to the managers attention? Place a comment in the suggestion box? Submit an ICE comment? As you know, we can rant about this till the cows come home on japanbases, but ULTIMATELY, unless the proper procedures for filing complaints are followed, its all for naught.

    No I didnt. But I did post it to JB, and it received over 800 views. With anything if it receives enough attention, things can get resolved.

    Adam, JB is not and never will be a substitute for using proper channels. One ICE comment may well have more impact than 800 JB views.

    Your observation/complaint about the theater is valid and deserves to be brought to management attention. Until you do so, they can always (rightfully) say "Nobody has ever complained to me about it."

    Your absolutely right. And if it was a matter that deserved an Ice comment I would use the proper channels.

    Your call, since I don't frequent the theaters or eat nachos in Yoko. But the real issue isn't nachos; the real issue is lazy employees and inattentive management. That should be worthy of some feedback.

    "LIKE"

    ThaiGuy, you summed up my sentiments EXACTLY.  This site is an awesome resource, however I don't think anyone in an official position working on base would refer someone to this site for an answer versus the official and proper  government controlled site.  At least not with a disclaimer advising you to use the information gained from this site at your own discretion because the content is NOT under the military's control.

    Finally,  I'm sure John Doe working at the NEX would much rather have ONE positive remark relayed to his manager either verbally, thru email or thru an ICE comment, versus being praised on this site a dozen times & with 10 times as many views.
