Hello everyone,

I'd appreciate if anyone would tell me if there is a tanning salon/service on base.  If not, where would you recommend to go around the base (either Yokosuka or Ikego)??

I hear the gym at camp zama has a tanning bed

also Golds Gym, i think thats the one on blue street, has tanning beds... but get ready to pay out the (you know what) for each session

it's one block over from Mikasa shopping center outside Yokosuka base $20.00 for 30 minutes.

is there a place that does spray tans??

$20 for a 30 minute session! WOW!    That's expensive!  Cheaper to spend the 2 bucks and go lay out by the pool!

There must be a spray tan place somewhere- I've seen a girl walking around base who looks like an oompa loompa she's so orange. Or maybe she's new from the US and it hasn't worn off. LOL =)

My arrival date is in October and I own a salon quality spray tanning system. It does NOT turn you orange, lol. I plan to offer sessions and packages. I will post in the Services section when I get there. Save your skin, get a spray tan. It last about two weeks and from what I've read on this forum, it will probably cost you less to keep a high quality tan than with tanning beds AND it doesn't damage your skin.

I leave the states on October 16th. Will be in the Lodge for however long it takes to get into housing. As far as pricing goes, I'm not sure. I know it will be less than maintaining a bed tan though. Jeeeeesh. I need to price the shipping of solutions to there. I'm going to offer packages. No worries. It will be affordable. Hope to see you soon.

I'm shipping it to myself so I won't have it immediately, but pretty quick, and yes, i'll probably still be in the lodge. I'm not sure how how long the housing wait is right now.
