    Does anyone know if its possible to get American cable or satellite service for people living off base? I know they have Japanese but I would like my normal U.S channels. Thanx

    My friend has Hikari TV and the only american channels he has is ABC news and two Movie channels (and some BBC)

    No American other than FEN satellite availble through the rental center. Hikari requires a telephone line which can be expensive and hard to come by. J-Com cable is available with some American/English programming. Your realtor should be able to assist. Also FFSC.

    We installed (ourselves, but you can have it done) an AFN dish. YOu get AFN (I think 10 channels) and it works fine. I went through housing on Yokosuka base near Chili's.
