CFAY 34th Annual Navy Friendship Day –

Yokosuka Base will hold the 34th annual Navy Friendship Day Aug. 7 from 10 a.m. to 8:10 p.m.

Friendship Day is a great opportunity to enhance our relationship with our host nation and local communities by showing our appreciation for their support.

Join us for a day of fun and fellowship with our host nation guests.

The event includes:

• Car Show from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

• Games and air toys from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

• Yokosuka City Fireworks display from 7:30 to 8:10 p.m.

If cancelled due to weather, only the fireworks display will be held Aug. 8 at 8 p.m. Call 241-2209 for more information.

I'm planning a family vacation to Japan. If we showed up at the gate would we be let in also? I know the event is meant to foster relationships with the locals but does that mean that they only let JN in. I can't remember from when I was stationed there 95-99. I really want my family to see a place that was such a huge part of my life.
