It took me forever and a day to figure out the name of these toys, but I did it!  I got a couple navy ships back in the late 70s/early 80s and I had so much fun playing with them. We moved, they disappeared (or probably thrown away), and now I'm wondering if anyone ever played with these growing up.

They're called Tente and they were Spanish. I lived in Europe so maybe that's why I got them for Christmas one year. They were cheap lego-like toys, but they had some SWEET navy stuff. I posted a couple links to pictures I found on google.

Since a buncha folks on here are US Navy, I figured maybe someone had them as a kid. If not, you missed out. Sooooooo cool!

Here's a helicopter ship (like the new one the Japanese build right across from the US part of Yokosuka!)

Don't know what kinda ship this is, but this is one I had!

They need to come out with more cool stuff like this.

This is one I picked up when we stopped in to Hong Kong for about $20 so if you take an MWR trip there keep your eyes open in the shopping district! My boys love it because I was on an aircraft carrier at the time.
