Why Do So Many Foreigners Marry Japanese Women?

This is one of those questions that only those of us who are married to them can answer... I have no idea!!! LOL

Pretty simple, really. Guys tend to come to Japan at the time of their lives they are most likely to meet a gal, fall in love, and get married. There are not a lot of foreign ladies in Japan overall.

And it doesn't hurt that many of the Japanese girls are pretty cute.

Maybe because they found someone who they are in love with?

Because DADT hasn't been fully repealed.

I agree. If you just look at probability, there are a lot more Japanese women in Japan than non-Japanese. So, it's more likely ( in that regard ) that if someone is getting married in Japan, their spouse will be Japanese.

What would be interesting, would be a study comparing #marriages/year ration to base population between all of the bases. In other words, relative to base population, which bases have the most (and least )  # of marriages a year?
