LTO Directions From Yokosuka

Someone was searching this on the website.. If you know please provide them answers.

Here's directions (in Japanese) with a map from Google Maps.  I've never been this route.  Google says it is a little bit shorter but you will be on the toll roads longer.  This route is different from the directions you will get from VRO or Fleet and Family.

My husband drove to the LTO office in Yokohama a couple of weeks ago. He had with him the directions from the VRO and the FFSC. He did say that he thought the VRO directions/map was the more helpful of the two....

DRIVING FROM YOKOSUKA BY CAR TO YOKOHOMA LTO 神奈川運輸支局

Address: 3,540 Ikebe-cho, Tsuzuki-ku, Yokohama 横浜市都筑区池辺町3,540



From YOKOSUKA:

1. Take HONCHO-YAMANAKA Toll Road. ¥200
-Go left at the fork to YOKOHAMA-YOKOSUKA Toll Road.

2. Take YOKOHAMA-YOKOSUKA (YOKO-YOKO) Toll Road. ¥900
-Go toward Yokohama and pay toll fee.

3. Take HODOGAYA-BYPASS toward TOMEI/HACHIOJI
-YOKO-YOKO Rd. will run into Hodogaya Bypass.

4. Take the SHIMOKAWAI/CHIGASAKI EXIT toward Rt. 45.
-Stay on the far right lanes to make a right turn at SHIMOKAWAI intersection.

5. Turn right onto Rt. 45, then continue on Rt. 45 for about 5 km.

6. Rt. 45 will become narrow and then branches off to the left.
-Do NOT branch off to the left toward Rt. 45!
-Stay straight and the road becomes Rt. 140.

7. Turn left at the intersection ”UMEDABASHI 梅田橋”onto Rt. 12.
-You will see ORION triangle building on the right corner.

8. The LTO office will be on your right.
Look for Kanji for LTO：神奈川運輸支局
The first road on the right hand side is for LTO Exit Only.
The second road on the right hand side is for LTO Entrance.

Note: Depending on traffic from Yokosuka, the drive will take about one hour to an hour and 30 minutes.

From IKEGO:

1. Go left at 7-Eleven store onto Rt. 24 toward YOKO-YOKO Toll Rd.

2. Take YOKO-YOKO Toll Rd. toward Yokohama. Toll Road ¥800

3. Continue with Step #3 above.

FWIW the map says blue sign, but the last time I was up there it was a white sigh with blue lettering.

and VRO gave me the same map for the minicar office...suppose to be on your left before you turn on the road to LTO...didn't seem to be any big sign or landmark for me to find the minicar office...the tolls will cost more than the registration so I figured do it myself so I can go shopping while over that way...
then was told had to go to minicar office in yokosuka which is where? was never told that at VRO...I get so unnerved at the lack of information around here.
