Does anyone know of a good place around here?

I took my car (96 Toyota Ipsum) to the NEX autoport to have the A/C serviced because it takes a while (about 8-10 mins) to feel noticeably cool air come out of the vents and when I look at the sight glass I can see a frothy mix of bubbles go by.  I'm not expecting snow to come out of the vents, but it shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes to start feeling a noticeable drop in the temperature of the air coming out of the vents.

The autoport looked at the A/C and said that it was fully charged and was "enough cold" (I"m quoting directly from the paperwork).  Well no kidding, if you leave it sit and run long enough the car will eventually cool down.  I'm no AC&R tech, but I've done enough shade tree mechanic work to know that the sight glass on an A/C system should be clear with very few (if any) bubbles.  It shouldn't look like milk is going by in the tube.

At least the NEX didn't charge me for this.

    I recommend contacting Mr. Auto.

He has some cars posted in the vehicles section. He speaks fluent Japanese and has several people he knows that do auto work very cheap out in town. You can trust them. I have had several things referred through him, and I just tend to go through those people now, because they are very efficient, and cheaper than anyone else around.

Just send him and email. See if he has someone he can refer you through.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.
