Yokosuka Naval Base Outdoor Pool Hours & Rules

I dont know about the off-base ones, and when they will start to open. I thought we had discussed this last summer, but I guess I was wrong. I looked all over but couldnt find anything on the site.

Hopefully this gets you started in the right direction. If anyone else has any feedback and info on when they are opening and the rules behind the off-base pools, please provide them.

Hi All,

Green Beach, Ikego and Negishi Pools will open May 29 for weekends and holidays 1100-1800 through June 18th. Then starting June 19 (once kids are out of school) they are open Monday-Sunday 1100-1800. Seahawk Natatorium in Purdy will remain open Monday-Friday 0530-0800 for Lap Swim in the mornings. Officer's Club will open June 19 weekends only 1100-1800.

Anyoneanyone know if the green beach pool is open yet? Does it cost anything to go and what are the hours and days of operation for srrcteational swims?

Green Beach pool will open Memorial day weekend. There is a family pass you can buy, last year I think it was $100. There is a ticket machine to buy a daily pass last year it was $2.00 adult and $1.00 kids. Bring one dollar bills , it does not accept anything else and usually they do not have change. Check with purdy gym to see if anything has changed.

This might seem silly but I haven't worn a swimsuit in my entire adult life. Does everyone who's gonna go swim with their kids need to be in a swimsuit or it is ok to have something like a short shorts over the swimsuit atleast? I am sorry for this question I don't wanna look stupid when we go there. Thanks.

Saturday, May 26 at Green Beach Pool from 1200 to 1500
Sunday, May 27 at Negishi Pool from 1200 to 1500
Monday, May 28 at Ikego Pool from 1200 to 1500
Join us in celebration of Memorial Day and the opening of outdoor pool season. All pools will open Saturday, May 26 for weekends and holidays. Our celebration includes free food, music, games and more. Picnic food, snacks and drinks will be served around noon and continue until we run out so get there early!

I have seen swim shorts at the NEX that you wear over your bathing suit. They are in the swim suit section. I think it is the fashion this year. I have seen people wear them last year.
I do not think you can wear jean shorts.

There is not  a pool at the Officer's Club anymore.  There is a pool at the BOQ.
